Community Service Projects
Many Cambodian villagers have inadequate knowledge on hygiene and proper sanitations. Some villagers drink water straight from streams or rivers. Many are too poor to afford soap and use soap powder for showers. Many Cambodian village homes do not have toilets, electricity or piped water.
Student volunteers, corporate volunteers or religious volunteers are welcome to improve the lives of the villagers by building basic amenities, such as wells, solar ovens or toilets. Volunteer groups may also make and distribute soaps to the poor. Alternatively, volunteers may also distribute rice to the Cambodian villagers.
Opportunities for volunteer teams to construct walkways or additional water collection system for an orphanage too!
International medical or dental volunteer groups are welcome too!
Cambodian Orphanage
The Cambodian orphanage cares for more than 100 orphans below 15 years old. Prior to their admission to the orphanage, many orphans had to scavenge through trash and search for anything reusable or sellable, to exchange for food. Homes were usually simple sheds that did little to keep out the wind and the rain. Most orphans had no means to afford 3 meals a day, let alone an education. The orphanage provides the orphans with opportunities for education, skills, livelihood and hope for a better future.
The Cambodian orphanage welcomes gap year students, career breakers, senior volunteers or other independent volunteers who can help for 1 to 6 months. Volunteers may teach English, Maths, Science through innovative activities, computer, arts and craft or any other useful life skills.

TakeMeToVolunteerTravel believes in equipping volunteers for a meaningful and memorable volunteering experience. We also provide the environment for the volunteers to prepare for their voluntary work, such as discussion for suitable activities and assistance to buy the necessary materials.
Volunteers will have hands-on volunteer experience in Singapore too! The Singapore-based volunteer orientation program is especially beneficial for volunteers from Europe, America or Australia. The short-stint in Singapore allows international volunteers to adjust to the Asian culture, jet-lag and acclimatise to Asian weather.
Of course, take the opportunity to sample our local delicacies, tour around and see how this tiny city state thrives in spite of its lack of natural resources.
