Our volunteering in Asia projects includes programs in Thailand Bangkok! We offer volunteering opportunities in the area of working with abandoned, sick, disabled and orphaned children.
Volunteering in Thailand Start Date
Our Volunteering Program in Bangkok city starts on any date of your choice throughout the year. International Volunteers must arrive at least one day before the start of their program.
Volunteer Hours
Volunteers generally work from 9am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
Orphanage
At present, the orphanage is responsible for 15 orphans, aged between 3 and 21. It occupies a three-annexed complex, 2 hrs drive from Bangkok.
The daily basics of the children are taken care of by the permanent staff who are stretched and have little time to spend with the children.
Volunteers could work with the younger children in the area of feeding, playing, and with the older children, in their homework. Volunteers could help the children develop interest, motivate them , teach them English and Computer skills, bring them on an excursion, initiate a project involving the children... there is plenty that volunteers can do. The most important contribution is the encouragement, attention and love that volunteers bring, which could profoundly change the children’s perspective of the world that they are in.
Orphanage and Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities
This centre is located an hour’s drive north of Bangkok.
Since 1986, the centre has been providing help to some of the many thousands of abandoned children in Thailand, regardless of gender, nationality, creed or religion. The foundation works also with the Thai Government Home for babies, boys and girls in Nonthaburi, Thailand, which houses over 2,000 disabled children from all over Thailand. Currently, it provides rehabilitation to approximately 500 children from the government homes.
The centre has a capable team which is however very stretched. Many of the children have multiple disabilities and the need for individual attention and care is great. Volunteers are much needed to assist the staff and physiotherapists in the daily care for the children. Much work will be in playing with the children, in initiating activities that stimulate them, as well as in care giving. It is this invaluable interaction, love, care and attention that could make a significant difference to the humble lives of these children.

We also provide the environment for the volunteers to prepare for their voluntary work, such as discussion for suitable volunteer activities and assistance to buy the necessary materials.
Volunteers will have hands-on volunteer experience in Singapore too!
The Singapore-based program is especially beneficial for volunteers from Europe, America or Australia. The short-stint in Singapore allows international volunteers to adjust to the Asian culture, jetlag and acclimatise to Asian weather.
Of course, take the opportunity to sample our local delicacies, tour around and see how this tiny city state thrives in spite of its lack of natural resources.
